The New PANTONE® Goe™ System

In response to the changes in printing and design technology, as well as designers’ unquenchable thirst for more colors to choose from, PANTONE® introduced its new Goe™ System in September 2007.

The new Goe™ System, which is an enhancement, not a replacement for the PANTONE Matching System®, offers creative and reproductive flexibility. It provides an extended range of 2,058 chromatically-arranged solid colors — along with their RGB values and ink formulas — that are easy to locate and specify using guide, chip and software formats.

PANTONE® employed the latest knowledge regarding advanced color science, color measuring techniques, and digital color display and print environments to create the Goe™ System. Goe™ colors are designed to be printed with uniform and industry-typical ink film thicknesses, allowing equal drying times and more control for matching color on press. Goe™ colors are simple to mix using only ten Mixing Bases plus PANTONE® Clear. The inks are readily available worldwide and receptive to aqueous and UV coatings.

The innovative Goe™ Guide also includes a new numbering system, numbered pages to make locating a color easier, and is printed on #1 grade 100 1bs. coated offset text, a popular premium grade papers.
